MoPH Signs USD 439,416 Agreement with AADA to Strengthen Nutrition Services in Herat and Farah
The Ministry of Public Health signed a contract worth USD 439,416 with the Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) to strengthen and expand healthcare services for residents of Herat and Farah provinces.
The contract was signed for a period of 18 months with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare services, increasing access to care, and reducing public health challenges. Under this contract, nutrition services will be provided through 117 health facilities to 157,823 acutely moderately malnourished children and breastfeeding mothers in the two provinces, while employment opportunities will be created for 72 people in the health sector.
Representatives of AADA assured that the project would be implemented over the 18-month period in accordance with all established standards, with special attention given to addressing the healthcare needs of the people.
