The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, convened with the Director General of Emergency, Ms. Rossella Miccio, in his official capacity.

Throughout this meeting, they not only deliberated on the healthcare services rendered by Emergency hospitals in Afghanistan but also explored the implementation of both short-term and long-term initiatives aimed at capacity building, the expansion of current medical services, enhancing support for patients with disabilities, and the inauguration of specialized programs within Emergency hospitals.

His Excellency Jalali underscored the pivotal role of international health organizations in fortifying Afghanistan’s healthcare infrastructure. He further urged the Director General for increased collaboration, particularly in the realm of capacity-building programs for Afghan medical personnel, alongside the broadening of healthcare services.

In response, Ms. Miccio affirmed: “We are committed to scaling up our services, placing a strong emphasis on essential and sustainable development within the health sector. With the backing of the international community, we are dedicated to drawing in additional partners for the Ministry of Health and addressing the prevailing challenges.”
