Laboratory Supplies and Reagents Worth Over $9,000 Provided to Daikundi Provincial Public Health Directorate for Tuberculosis (TB) Diagnosis
To strengthen TB diagnostic services and improve the quality of laboratory services at health facilities in the districts of Daikundi Province, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) provided 16 types of laboratory supplies and reagents worth more than US$9,000 to the Daikundi Provincial Public Health Directorate.
The supplies were handed over to officials of the Directorate in the presence of Dr. Jawad Hakimi, Director of Public Health of Daikundi Province.
The laboratory supplies and reagents will be distributed, based on need, to district health facilities across the province to strengthen the TB control program, improve access to diagnostic services, and enhance the quality of healthcare services.
