A comprehensive five-day training program was conducted for 28 medical technologists from the Afghan Japan and Infectious Diseases Treatment Hospital, under the Ministry of Public Health, with the primary objective of augmenting laboratory capacities.

This training initiative was spearheaded by the Central Laboratories Department, under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health’s Diagnostic Directorate, in collaboration with the World Health Organization. Delivered over two phases under the theme "Enhancing Laboratory Capacity," the program has now successfully concluded.

Dr. Masood Dilsoz, Director of Central Laboratories at the Ministry of Public Health, hailed this training as a pivotal step in bolstering the expertise of medical technologists in hospital laboratories. He emphasized that both theoretical and practical training in laboratory capacity enhancement were imparted, equipping participants with the requisite skills to introduce innovative practices within the field.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the Ministry of Public Health is poised to roll out similar training programs for medical technologists across provincial regions. The aim is to streamline diagnostic processes and ensure the provision of high-standard diagnostics for all patients nationwide.
