Minister of Public Health Leads High-Level Meeting to Review National Health Status and Annual Monitoring Findings
His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Minister of Public Health, Convened a Meeting to Assess the Country’s Health Status, Review Last Year’s Monitoring Findings, and Address Persistent Challenges
The session brought together Deputy Minister Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, ministry advisors, central and provincial directors, and representatives of international partner agencies and implementing organizations.
The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, described the meeting as crucial for addressing challenges and improving healthcare quality, stating:
(Every citizen has the right to receive accessible and reliable healthcare services. To achieve this, we must ensure systematic and comprehensive monitoring of public and private health facilities. This is one of the core functions of the Ministry of Public Health, as it supports the identification and resolution of key issues in the healthcare system.)
He urged that inspections be made more efficient and that their outcomes be strategically utilized, directing the Directorate General of Monitoring and Inspection to collaborate with partner organizations to strengthen inspection standards and ensure the accuracy and safeguarding of reports.
Dr. Inayatullah Inayat, Director General of Monitoring and Inspection, delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the country’s health conditions and summarizing inspection data from hospitals and health centers over the past year.
Provincial directors detailed their operational challenges and priority needs, receiving assurances of full support from ministry officials.
Representatives of partner agencies and implementing organizations shared their perspectives and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the quality and impact of their activities.
