The Directorate of Public Health in Nimroz has officially commenced the construction of five state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. This initiative is set to significantly improve the availability of maternal and child health services in the region.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mullah Abdul Rahman ‘Abdullah,’ the Director of Public Health, revealed that the project is being executed with the financial support of UNFPA at a total cost of 3.5 million Afghanis. The new facilities will be established in Diwalak, Guro, Shagi, and Kharwaro, which are within the Khash Rud and Delaram districts. These centers are expected to deliver critical services in maternal and reproductive health, catering to the specific needs of women in the region.

According to Mullah Abdul Rahman, the facilities will serve an estimated 12,000 patients from surrounding areas, offering vital pregnancy-related care. This project represents a major leap forward in healthcare infrastructure for Nimroz, addressing a crucial gap in maternal and child health services.
