MoPH Conducts Training on Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in Bamyan

The Ministry of Public Health’s Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control Department conducted a four-day training program for 25 doctors and a three-day training program for 25 midwives and 50 community health workers in Bamyan Province to strengthen the capacity of healthcare workers.

Participants received training on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, early diagnosis and treatment, management of patients with non-communicable diseases, referral of patients to health facilities and hospitals, and health counseling.

Dr. Mohammad Sami Karimi, Head of the MoPH’s Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control Department, emphasized the important role of healthcare workers in preventing and controlling these diseases. He urged the participants to share the knowledge and skills they acquired with their colleagues at health facilities, hospitals, and in communities.
