MoPH Minister Inaugurates New ICU at Aino Mena Hospital in Kandahar

During his visit to Kandahar Province, the Minister of Public Health of the IEA, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, inaugurated a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the 350-bed Aino Mena Hospital, established at a cost of USD 1.5 million.

At the ceremony, attended by the Minister of Public Health, members of his delegation, and several other officials, the Minister described the establishment of the ICU as an important step toward expanding healthcare services and providing quality care to patients requiring emergency treatment. He added that the Ministry of Public Health would continue its efforts to expand and strengthen the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

It is worth noting that the ICU was established with financial support from UNDP and is equipped with modern medical equipment. The facility will help ensure access to quality and specialized emergency care for patients from Kandahar and neighboring provinces, contributing to improved healthcare services.
