Deputy Minister of Public Health Visits Herat to Monitor Healthcare Services and Inaugurate Emergency Health Center at Roznak Railway Station
Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy, Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy of the Ministry of Public Health, along with his delegation, paid an official visit to Herat Province.
The purpose of this visit was to assess and monitor the status of healthcare services in Herat province.
Following the directive of the Office of the Prime Minister, a joint commission under the Ministry of Public Works was formed to provide essential healthcare services at railway stations for the public, passengers, and cargo carriers. The Ministry of Public Health was assigned the responsibility of establishing an emergency health center.
The new emergency health center was established and officially opened at the Roznak railway station in Herat province. The center will provide emergency and outpatient care, obstetrics and gynecology, quarantine, nutrition, screening, vaccination, and ambulance services.
The delegation also visited Herat Province Eye Hospital, Regional Hospital, Thalassemia Hospital, private healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical and food factories, medical device manufacturing centers, and food and drug control laboratories. The facilities were thoroughly inspected, and guidelines and constructive recommendations were shared with relevant officials to further improve operations.
