Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Chairs Meeting on Procurement and Pharmaceutical Oversight
The Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Public Health, Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqi, convened a meeting with the officials of Kabul Medical University, Security Forces Hospital, the 400-bed Hospital, and the Police Hospital.
The meeting, also attended by several central directors, focused on procurement challenges, ensuring transparency in procedures, maintaining pharmaceutical quality, and strengthening oversight of both imported and locally produced medicines. Participants shared their views and recommendations.
H.E. Siddiqi emphasized the need for a unified procurement process, priority for domestic production, and transparent systems that safeguard medicine quality, in order to resolve challenges and enhance healthcare services.
