Afghanistan and Iran Forge Stronger Healthcare Ties: Hospitals to Rise in Kabul and Bamiyan

The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Highness, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a meeting in his official office with the Ambassador of Iran to Afghanistan, Mr. Alireza Bikdeli.

During this meeting, discussions were held regarding enhancing the capacity of healthcare workers, delivering high-quality healthcare services, and fostering bilateral cooperation.

His Highness Jalali underscored the significance of bilateral relations with Iran in the healthcare sector and stated: "To strengthen the country’s healthcare sector, we require capacity-building programs for healthcare professionals, high-quality medicines, and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Through robust bilateral relations and cooperation, we can make significant progress in this domain and provide standardized healthcare services to patients."

On the other hand, the Iranian Ambassador reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to cooperation in the healthcare sector and pledged to resume the construction of hospitals in Kabul and Bamiyan provinces in the near future.
