Ministry of Public Health Signs $269,738 MoU with WAW to Support Vulnerable Families
The Ministry of Public Health signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth $269,738 with Women for Afghan Women (WAW) to strengthen the social and economic protection of vulnerable returnee and internally displaced families and children and address their support needs in Nangarhar, Kunar, and Laghman provinces.
The MoU aims to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and address public health needs. Under the MoU, 6,120 residents across the three provinces will receive healthcare services through 18 health centers, and five people will be provided with employment opportunities in the health sector.
WAW representatives also assured that the project would be implemented in full compliance with established standards, with particular attention to meeting the healthcare needs of the local communities
