Public Awareness Programs on Noncommunicable Diseases Held in Northeastern Provinces
Officials from the Noncommunicable Diseases Control Department of the Ministry of Public Health’s Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control conducted public awareness sessions in Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, and Badakhshan provinces to raise public awareness of noncommunicable diseases and promote preventive measures.
As part of these programs, informational and educational brochures and posters were distributed to the public, highlighting the risk factors for noncommunicable diseases, preventive measures, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Mohammad Sami Karimi, Head of the Noncommunicable Diseases Prevention and Control Department of the MoPH, described the distribution of public awareness materials as an important step toward raising awareness about NCD prevention and encouraging people to adopt healthy practices in their daily lives.
He urged the public to follow healthy lifestyle practices and play an active role in preventing and controlling noncommunicable diseases.
