As part of his official tour of Badghis province, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, ceremoniously inaugurated the inaugural State Institute of Health Sciences — a groundbreaking advancement in the region’s healthcare education infrastructure.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali; the Governor of Badghis, Hafiz Mohammad Amin Jan Omari; the Provincial Director of Public Health, Mawlawi Khan Mohammad Himmat; the Director General of Human Resources at MoPH, Erfanullah Karimi; alongside senior ministry officials, tribal elders, healthcare professionals, and local residents.

The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, hailed the establishment of the State Institute of Health Sciences in Badghis as a landmark achievement, emphasizing its role in bridging critical gaps and resolving longstanding challenges in the province’s mid-level healthcare education sector.

The Minister further affirmed that the Institute’s organizational structure has been fully established, with a designated facility allocated to accommodate hundreds of students undertaking programs in four distinct medical disciplines.

Representatives of the local community in Badghis conveyed their appreciation to the Ministry of Public Health delegation and petitioned for expanded cooperation in healthcare initiatives. In response, Ministry officials pledged unwavering commitment to sustained support and oversight.
