Minister of Public Health Visits New Mass Immunization Center in Herat, Highlights Importance of Cold Chain and Vaccination Integrity

As part of his official visit to Herat province, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, toured the newly-constructed building for mass immunization services along with its state-of-the-art cold chain facility.

The Minister voiced his satisfaction with the development, describing it as a milestone step forward in the field of vaccination. He remarked that the Ministry is working diligently to stem the spread of infectious diseases through the effective rollout of routine vaccinations, a mission that hinges on strengthening both the cold chain infrastructure and mass immunization capacity.

He further emphasized that implementing partners and relevant agencies must carry out their responsibilities in the vaccination field with utmost professionalism and integrity, stressing that only through such efforts can the nation’s children be shielded from the threat of contagious diseases.
