Minister of Public Health Visits Belarus National Cancer Treatment and Radiology Centre
The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, visited the National Centre for Cancer Treatment and Radiology during his official visit to Belarus.
The delegation reviewed the diagnostic and treatment services for cancer patients, the centre’s research activities, and the operation and maintenance of modern radiology equipment. Information was also provided on the centre’s medical facilities and activities.
H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali stated that, given the rising incidence of cancer, it is essential to expand standardized healthcare services for the prevention, early detection, and effective treatment of cancer.
He added that Afghanistan seeks to further strengthen access to quality cancer diagnosis and treatment services by drawing on the experience, scientific knowledge, and advanced medical technologies of other countries in the field of cancer care.
The centre’s officials also briefed the delegation on its available facilities, modern equipment, and research activities in cancer treatment and radiology, and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the exchange of scientific and technical expertise.
The centre is also engaged in health and medical research, in addition to providing cancer treatment services.
