Awareness Session Held on Anti-Smuggling Law for Pharmaceutical Importers by Ministry of Public Health

Kabul — An awareness session regarding the law on preventing smuggling was held for the heads of health product and pharmaceutical import companies. The event was organized by the Ministry of Public Health’s Deputy Minister's Office of Food and Drugs and took place in its main hall. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, senior officials from various branches of the Deputy Minister's Office, and representatives of import companies.

Deputy Minister Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid expressed gratitude for the participation of pharmaceutical importers. He highlighted that the purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness about preventing the smuggling of medicines, health products, and food items. He stated: “As a regulatory body, the Deputy Minister's Office for Food and Drugs is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of medicines and food products and providing them to all citizens at reasonable prices. To achieve this goal, it is imperative to implement all laws derived from Islamic sources and ratified by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. We are fully committed to their comprehensive enforcement.”
