Afghan Health Officials Visit Bangladesh to Strengthen Pharmaceutical Cooperation

Hafiz Dr. Naeemullah Ayoubi, Director General of the Regulation of Drugs and Health Products of the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, paid an official visit to Bangladesh as part of a delegation led by Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce.

During the visit, meetings will be held with senior officials of Bangladesh’s Drug Regulatory Authority to discuss key issues in medicine and health product regulation. Afghanistan’s technical delegation will visit pharmaceutical factories and follow up on the pharmaceutical agreement based on previous online meetings, including speeding up the registration and evaluation of Bangladeshi companies and their products.

One of the aims of the visit is to encourage pharmaceutical companies to invest in medicine production in Afghanistan, either independently or in partnership with Afghan firms.
