Over 400 Drug Addicts Treated at Balkh Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital This Year
Since the beginning of this year, 430 drug addicts have been treated at the 100-bed Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Hospital under the Balkh Provincial Public Health Directorate.
Dr. Niaz Mohammad Joya, the hospital’s director, stated that during the past seven months, 466 drug addicts have been registered and admitted. Of these, 430 have recovered, 533 are under follow-up, 515 have received counseling services, and 7,255 people have been provided with public awareness programs.
Currently, around 80 drug-addicted patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
