The Ministry of Public Health has disclosed that a total of 4,419 free surgical operations were carried out at Sheikh Zayed Specialized and Tertiary Hospital over the past year

Among these procedures, 1,548 were classified as major surgeries and 2,871 as minor, all of which were successfully conducted by experienced and highly qualified Afghan surgeons — free of charge. The operations were pulled off with precision and care, reflecting the high standard of local medical expertise.
In addition to surgical services, the hospital also delivered free outpatient care (OPD) to 86,758 patients and inpatient care (IPD) to 7,647 patients, further underscoring the hospital’s vital role in expanding access to essential health services.
