Minister of Public Health convenes a meeting with the head of the UNFPA organization for Afghanistan

The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, convened a meeting with the head of the UNFPA organization for Afghanistan, Mr. Kwabena Asante, and his delegation in his office. The discussion centered on the establishment of healthcare facilities in remote regions, the enhancement of services provided by existing facilities, and specialized healthcare services for mothers and children.

His Excellency Jalali expressed his appreciation for the healthcare centers and facilities established by the organization and advocated for the implementation of standardized and innovative designs in future healthcare constructions.

The Minister underscored the priority of providing healthcare services to residents of remote areas, committing to sustained efforts to ensure that these services reach the most inaccessible regions.

Furthermore, he solicited the UNFPA's cooperation and focus on delivering healthcare services to female patients, particularly in the area of fistula treatment, across the provinces of the country.
