Three-Day Training Programme for Surveillance Support Teams from All 34 Provinces Launched

The programme seeks to strengthen the surveillance system, enhance health data quality and bolster staff capacity in the monitoring, prevention and control of communicable diseases.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mufti Abdul Quddus Hashimi, Director General of Monitoring and Inspection of the Ministry, commended the SSTs for their responsibilities, operational performance and achievements.

He highlighted the teams’ significant contributions at central and provincial levels to containing communicable diseases, detecting public health cases and curbing disease transmission.

He further underscored the importance of accurate, timely and standardised health data collection, analysis, documentation and reporting.
