Coordination Meeting Held on the Ministry of Public Health’s Development Projects
The meeting was chaired by Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqi, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administrative Affairs, and attended by directors of central directorates and officials overseeing development projects.
The Deputy Minister for Finance and Administrative Affairs emphasized the importance of the proper, transparent, and efficient utilization of development project funds, noting that allocated budgets should be spent responsibly and in line with approved plans and actual needs. He also stressed the importance of commitment and due diligence in fulfilling assigned responsibilities and instructed officials to carry out their duties effectively and to the required standard.
Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, Director General of Planning and Policy of the MoPH, provided an overview of development project budget expenditures during the first six months of fiscal year 1405. He also briefed participants on the request for additional funding for development projects during the mid-year review of fiscal year 1405.
Meanwhile, development project officials provided updates on budget utilization, progress in project implementation, and the challenges and constraints affecting ongoing projects. They also presented their recommendations to the ministry’s leadership.
At the conclusion of the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination among relevant officials, expediting project implementation, ensuring the transparent and effective use of allocated funds, and addressing existing challenges.
