MoPH Signs US$892,285 MoU with AYSO to Expand Essential Healthcare Services in Eight Provinces

The Ministry of Public Health has signed a fifteen month MoU worth $892,285 with the Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) to provide essential life-saving healthcare services to underserved communities in the provinces of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Ghazni, Khost, Paktia, and Paktika

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to improve the quality of healthcare services, increase access to essential healthcare, and address the health needs of communities. Under the MoU, 167,378 residents across the eight provinces will receive healthcare services through eight health centers, while 240 job opportunities will be created in the health sector.

Representatives of AYSO also assured the Ministry that they would implement the project over the fifteen months period in accordance with established standards and pay particular attention to meeting the healthcare needs of the local communities.
