The closures followed inspections carried out by officials from the Health Facilities Inspection Directorate under the General Directorate of Monitoring and Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health. The inspections targeted a number of health facilities in Kabul’s 6th district, resulting in the shutdown of nine facilities found to be operating without authorization and in violation of health regulations.
