Ministry of Public Health Launches Recruitment Process for Nearly 5,000 Vacant Positions Through Open Competition
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Ministry of Public Health in the presence of H.E. Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqi, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Affairs, senior officials of the Ministry, and representatives of the media. Speaking at the press conference, the Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration said that, in order to ensure that positions are assigned to qualified individuals, recruit professional personnel based on merit, and strengthen professional capacity in hospitals, the Ministry of Public Health is announcing nearly 5,000 vacant positions at the central and provincial levels through open competition. He added that the announced positions range from grades 2 to 6 and include specialists, doctors, supervisors, laboratory staff, X-ray and anesthesia technicians, orthopedic technologists, physiotherapists, civil engineers, and administrative and support staff, who will be recruited through open competition.
At the provincial level, 1,200 administrative and HMIS positions related to district-level health services, along with 1,800 professional positions within provincial public health directorates, have also been announced through open competition.
In addition, nearly 1,800 newly created and vacant positions at Al-Shifa Hospital will be announced for open competitive recruitment during the current year. This will provide significant opportunities for the recruitment of qualified professional and administrative personnel.
It is worth noting that recruitment for these positions will be conducted transparently and through open competition, based on merit, professional qualifications, educational credentials, and the specified eligibility criteria. This process will enable qualified and competent individuals to secure opportunities to serve in various departments and areas of the Ministry of Public Health based on their capabilities and qualifications.
