Meeting Held to Review the New Plan for Integration of Healthcare Services under BPHS and EPHS Programs

Dr. Mohammad Hasan Ghiyasi, Deputy Minister for Policy and Health Promotion at the Ministry of Public Health, convened a meeting with the aim of reviewing and discussing the new plan for the integration of healthcare services within the framework of BPHS and EPHS programs.

In this meeting, the Deputy Minister for Policy and Health Promotion stated: “The integration of healthcare service packages within the health system structure is fundamental and crucial.” He emphasized that the strategic integration of preventive programs can play a pivotal role in enhancing access to health services, addressing population needs, mitigating disease burden, elevating public awareness, and improving the quality of healthcare nationwide.

Subsequently, Dr. Hedayatullah Hamidi, Technical Policy and Planning Advisor, delineated the new integrated health services package to the participants, after which they presented their technical perspectives, recommendations, and insights regarding the enhancement and effective implementation of this plan.

In the end, specific technical recommendations were presented for the improvement, formulation, and implementation of the integrated health services program, and it was resolved that this plan shall be finalized and implemented after further consultation with the technical committee of experts and partner organizations.
