IEA Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali Holds Online Meeting with UK Special Representative for Afghanistan, Richard Lindsey

The meeting focused on the status of health services, strengthening the health system, enhancing healthcare workers’ capacities, specialty programs, and collaboration with international partners in the health sector.

H.E Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, expressed his gratitude to the United Kingdom for its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan’s health sector, noting that further support and collaboration are needed to expand health services in some key areas.

Additionally, the Minister discussed matters related to capacity building and the development of several other areas.

Mr. Richard Lindsey, the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, assured continued support for Afghanistan’s health system and stated that the UK would continue its cooperation to strengthen, develop, and sustain the country’s health system.
