Afghanistan’s Public Health Delegation Visits Turkey to Strengthen Medicines Regulation and Supply

The Director General of Pharmaceutical and Health Products Regulation of the Ministry of Public Health of the IEA, Hafiz Dr. Naeemullah Ayoubi, departed for an official visit to Turkey accompanied by a technical delegation.

During this visit, the delegation of the Ministry of Public Health will hold meetings with officials of Turkey’s Medicines Agency and discuss a number of key issues related to the regulation of medicines and health products. In addition, the technical delegation will visit pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Turkey.

Furthermore, efforts will be made during this visit to strengthen coordination between the two countries in the production and supply chain of medicines, with the aim of ensuring access to high-quality and affordable medicines for the people of Afghanistan in both the short and long term.
