Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Hospital Provides Over 46,000 Free Surgeries in One Year

Last year, the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan successfully carried out 46,266 surgical procedures pro bono at Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Hospital in the capital.
Of these surgical procedures, 11,437 were classified as major operations, while 34,829 were minor procedures—each conducted by seasoned Afghan doctors efficiently and free of charge.
In addition, 194,007 patients received outpatient (OPD) services, and 15,051 patients were provided with inpatient (IPD) care, all at no cost.
