A meeting of the Technical Committee, aimed at strengthening the healthcare system in specialized and tertiary hospitals, was convened under the leadership of Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Healthcare Services at the Ministry of Public Health. The meeting was graced by senior officials from the ministry, advisors to the leadership office, and representatives from the ICRC and various institutions.

During the session, presentations were given by the directors of specialized hospitals, procurement, human resources, and finance departments, detailing the challenges and proposed solutions.

Haqqani established several sub-committees to address finance, procurement, human resources, service improvement, specialization, and private sector engagement. These sub-committees were tasked with preparing proposals to enhance the healthcare system. Once the proposals are compiled, a unified plan will be developed and, following approval, implemented.

Such a comprehensive effort to address both immediate and long-term healthcare needs is rarely undertaken with such precision and urgency.
