44 Pharmaceutical Establishments Inspected in Kabul’s 11th and 22nd Districts

Officials from the Ministry of Public Health for the Inspection of Medicines, Health Products, and Food carried out the inspections to control prices, prevent hoarding and monopoly, ensure quality, and enforce health regulations.

As a result of the inspections, 8 pharmaceutical companies and 25 pharmacies were closed for overpricing, 11 pharmacies were shut for operating without authorization and lacking official licenses, and one wholesale medicine store was closed for selling at excessively high prices.

The Ministry of Public Health calls on all pharmacy operators to comply with health laws and continue their activities in accordance with applicable regulations.
