Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali Holds Joint Meeting in Badghis to Address Healthcare Challenges and Boost Local Services

As part of his official visit to Badghis province, Minister of Public Health Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali convened a joint meeting with provincial health professionals, private sector representatives, implementing agencies, and tribal leaders.

The convening featured the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali; Badghis Governor, Hafiz Mohammad Amin Jan Omari; Provincial Public Health Director, Mawlawi Khan Mohammad Himmat; directors from the Ministry of Public Health; representatives from the private healthcare sector; heads of implementing partners; and prominent tribal elders.

Provincial health officials presented to the Minister of Public Health the prevailing challenges, proposals, and demands within the healthcare sector of the province, which included the construction of new hospitals, an increase in staffing levels, the initiation of a speciality program, among other critical issues.

The Minister attentively listened to the concerns and recommendations put forth by the health officials and acknowledged that the province’s healthcare sector had previously been neglected by authorities. He assured that henceforth, it would receive dedicated attention.

Furthermore, the Minister pledged to identify effective solutions to address the highlighted challenges, aiming to enhance local residents’ access to healthcare services and reduce the need for patients to seek treatment outside the province.
