MoPH Signs $103,016 MoU with ORCD to Expand Health Services in Baghlan and Kandahar

The Ministry of Public Health signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Organization for Research and Community Development (ORCD), valued at USD 103,016.39, to reduce maternal and child mortality and provide mental health services in the targeted areas of Baghlan and Kandahar provinces.

The MoU was signed to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and address the health needs of local communities. Under the MoU, five mobile health teams will provide healthcare services to 44,050 residents in the two provinces, while 90 employment opportunities will be created in the health sector.

The ORCD representatives assured that the project would be implemented over the course of one year in accordance with all established standards and that particular attention would be given to addressing the healthcare needs of local communities.
