Public Awareness Session on Drug Prevention Held at Noman Sadat Institute of Higher Education

A public awareness session on drug prevention was held for students of Noman Sadat Institute of Higher Education, organized by the National Drug Treatment Program in collaboration with Jangalak Drug Treatment Hospital.
Dr. Abdul Qadir Danish Mal, Head of the 450-bed Jangalak Addiction Treatment Hospital, participated in the session alongside health workers, university officials, and students.
Dr. Danish Mal thanked the university’s leadership and highlighted the importance of prevention efforts. He noted that drug use negatively impacts every aspect of a person’s life.
Stressing that prevention is more effective than treatment, he called for collective action from all segments of society in combating drug abuse.
Dr. Manochehr Moahed, President of Noman Sadat Institute of Higher Education, also emphasized the need for drug prevention and awareness programs. He stated that the youth are the country’s most valuable asset and must be protected from the dangers of drug use.
The Ministry of Public Health’s National Drug Treatment Directorate continues to implement prevention and awareness initiatives in Kabul, with plans to expand these efforts to the provinces.
