Dr. Karimullah Halimi, Director of Monitoring at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), conducted an oversight visit to Badghis province to evaluate the implementation of BPHS and EPHS vertical projects, as well as several private health facilities.

The mission, aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare provision in both public and private sectors, ensuring adherence to national service standards, and strengthening transparency and accountability, was led by Dr. Halimi and his technical delegation. During the visit, they met with Khan Mohammad Himmat, Director of Public Health for Badghis Province, and outlined the key objectives of their monitoring exercise. In line with the approved plan, the team assessed multiple health centers in the provincial capital and in the districts of Jawand, Bala Murghab, Qadis, Ghormach, Muqur, Ab Kamri, and Sang-e-Atash.

Throughout the inspection, the team identified several structural and operational deficiencies within the visited facilities and formally shared their findings with the relevant authorities for prompt corrective measures.

Dr. Halimi also reviewed the condition of admitted patients and instructed healthcare providers to ensure compassionate care, effective treatment, and continuous improvement in service provision.
