MoPH Resumes Construction of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital Building
The Ministry of Public Health has resumed construction of the unfinished building at Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Specialized and Tertiary Hospital with an investment of AFN 40 million.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqi, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration Affairs of the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry's central directors and the management, doctors, and healthcare staff of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Specialized and Tertiary Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqi, said that construction of a four-storey building at Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Specialized and Tertiary Hospital, which had remained unfinished for the past six months, has resumed with funding of AFN 40 million from the Ministry of Public Health. He added that the project is expected to be completed within the next two months and then put into operation.
H.E Siddiqi added that the building will accommodate fully equipped operating theatres, an advanced diagnostic department, and standard inpatient wards. Once operational, these facilities will strengthen the hospital's capacity to deliver quality healthcare services and provide patients with improved, high-quality care.
