For the first time, Nangarhar Regional Specialized Hospital has activated a laser-assisted machine for pediatric brain surgery

Through the efforts of the Nangarhar Public Health Directorate, the International Society of Neurosurgery donated a machine worth €30,000 to the hospital’s neurosurgery ward. This device will be used to perform laser-assisted head surgeries on children born with enlarged heads die to excess fluid in their brains.

During a meeting held for this purpose, Director of Public Health Mawlawi Aminullah Sharif expressed his gratitude to the International Society of Neurosurgery for its cooperation, praised the efforts of the doctors at Nangarhar Regional Hospital, and called for further support from the society in providing advanced medical equipment.
