The monitoring and inspection officials of the Provincial Public Health Directorate of Paktika Province conducted joint inspections of private healthcare facilities as well as a number of food stores in the districts of Zerok District and Nika District.

As a result of these inspections, 130 types of expired and substandard medicines and food items — amounting to approximately 16 boxes and 445 kilograms — were collected and destroyed in the presence of a joint committee.
