The Directorate General of Food Safety of the Ministry of Public Health conducted a one-day training program aimed at enhancing the capacity of dried fruit processors and promoting safe food export products.

The training program, attended by 30 dried fruit processors, provided participants with key information on food safety principles, product labeling, export and import requirements, international food safety standards (Codex), standard dried fruit processing methods, and the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

Officials of the  Directorate General of Food Safety emphasized that such training programs will continue to be conducted to improve the quality and safety of export products, strengthen producers’ capacities, and further enhance the presence of Afghanistan’s dried fruits in international markets.
