MoPH Minister Meets Zabul Governor to Discuss Expansion of Healthcare Services

In his official Office, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Mullah Sher Mohammad Sharif, Governor of Zabul Province, and the Provincial Director of Public Health.

During the meeting, Dr. Mirwais Afghan, Director of Public Health for Zabul, provided a comprehensive briefing on the province's health situation, existing challenges, and priority needs. To help address child health challenges and expand healthcare services, he called for an increase in the number of health teams to ensure the timely delivery of healthcare services to people in need.

The Governor of Zabul reaffirmed his support for the Ministry of Public Health's programmes and initiatives and emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint cooperation to further improve healthcare services in the province.

The Minister of Public Health assured participants that the Ministry would provide the necessary attention and support to improve the health situation in Zabul Province. He added that, as part of efforts to expand healthcare services, general hospitals will be constructed in 318 districts across the country, with Zabul Province included in the programme.
