His Excellency Dr Qalandar Ebad, Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met and held discussions with Dr Dapeng, the head of the World Health Organization in Afghanistan.

In this meeting, the honorable Minister of Public Health mentioned the provision of standardized health services to the people in remote and nearby areas of the country. He stated that it is our duty to provide standardized health services to all citizens of the country, and significant changes have been made in the provision of health services compared to the past. The people have gained confidence in the health services.

The health status of mothers and children has significantly improved compared to the past. Remarkable efforts have been made in the prevention of infectious diseases, and significant progress has been made in vaccine adaptation, among other areas. All of these achievements are the result of the efforts of the Islamic Emirate, the Ministry of Public Health, and domestic and international health partners.

Dr Dapeng, the head of the World Health Organization in Afghanistan, expressed appreciation for the good leadership of the Minister of Public Health and the achievements in the health sector. He stated that he will always strive to collaborate with the healthcare system in Afghanistan.

The Minister of Public Health expressed appreciation for the activities and efforts of the head of the World Health Organization in the health sector and wished him success in his work.
