Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs of the Ministry of Public Health, visited the Afghan Health Exhibition, accompanied by the directors of the Deputy Minister's Office. The exhibition—organised through the joint collaboration of the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Wahaj Company, and the Embassy of Iran—is being held over three days, showcasing a broad range of domestic and international products and services.

In his remarks, the Deputy Minister expressed his appreciation to the organisers and participants, emphasising that such gatherings strengthen bilateral relations, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and pave the way for enhanced commercial engagement and technical cooperation, particularly in support of regulatory capacity-building.

He also briefed attendees on the key achievements of the past four years, highlighting progress made in improving the quality, safety, and effectiveness of medicines, health products, and both domestically produced and imported food items.

More than 40 major Iranian companies are participating alongside Afghan firms in this exhibition. In addition to presenting their products, several of these companies have expressed their intention to invest in Afghanistan’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
