Four-Day Training of Trainers (ToT) Program on Infection Prevention and Control Conducted for Healthcare Workers Across Afghanistan
A four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) was organized by the Capacity Building Directorate under the Directorate General of Human Resources Affairs of the Ministry of Public Health.
The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and practical capacities of healthcare workers from Rabia Balkhi Hospital, Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital, and Isteqlal Hospital in Kabul, along with healthcare personnel from Nangarhar, Herat, Faryab, and Paktia provinces, to ensure the effective implementation of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards in healthcare facilities.
During the training program, experienced instructors delivered theoretical and practical sessions on key topics, including the principles of infection prevention and control, disease transmission prevention, adherence to preventive measures, management of infectious risks, and standard teaching methodologies for trainers.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises, gaining the essential knowledge and skills required in this field.
