Public Awareness Campaign on Immunization Held Across Seven Afghan Provinces

A public awareness ceremony on immunization was held in Nangarhar, Khost, Parwan, Panjshir, Jowzjan, Farah, and Badghis provinces under the slogan “For Every Generation, Vaccines Work ,” organized by the National Expanded Programme on Immunization departments of the provincial public health directorates.

Provincial officials emphasized the vital role of religious scholars, mosque imams, and the media in raising public awareness, preventing diseases, and promoting vaccination, and urged families to vaccinate their children to protect them from diseases.

Vaccination is a global program, and for the past 52 years, a global week has been observed worldwide to raise public awareness about vaccines, with the aim of promoting a healthier society in the future.
