Northern Salang Trauma Centre Reopens After Renovation, Handed Over for Public Use
The Ministry of Public Health has completed the renovation and reconstruction of the Northern Salang Trauma Centre, an emergency medical facility, and officially handed it over for public use.
Senior officials attended the inauguration ceremony, including Dr Haidar Khan Haidar, Director-General of Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Public Health; Dr Abdul Wali Alizai, Acting Director of Provincial Coordination; Mawlawi Mohammad Humayoon Jahadiar, Deputy Governor of Baghlan; Mawlawi Mohammad Hassan Asim, Director of Baghlan Public Health; medical staff, local residents and a number of other authorities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr Haidar Khan Haidar, the Director-General of Preventive Medicine, expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the centre. He stated: “The Ministry of Public Health is committed to establishing similar medical centres along all major highways to ensure rapid emergency response and essential medical services for victims of road-traffic accidents.”
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Mohammad Hassan Asim, the Baghlan Public Health Director, said: “With the opening of this trauma centre, casualties of road-traffic accidents and other emergency patients will receive urgent and necessary medical care.”
The renovation and reconstruction work on this health facility was funded by the Ministry of Public Health.
