A two-day workshop was rolled out by the General Directorate of Curative Medicine under the Ministry of Public Health for 50 medical specialists, aiming to get to the bottom of persistent challenges in healthcare service delivery.

The workshop, which kicked off in the auditorium of the Ghazanfar Institute, brought together the Deputy Minister for Health Service, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, along with several central directors from the Ministry of Public Health, who all turned out for the opening ceremony.

Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani hailed the initiative as a step in the right direction towards boosting healthcare services in the country. He stressed, “We aim to take on board the insights and recommendations of medical specialists in our future decision-making process, and we will follow through with practical measures to step up the quality and accessibility of healthcare services.”

It is worth mentioning that this workshop was put together by the General Directorate of Curative Medicine, engaging 50 specialists from both the capital and the provinces, to work through the hurdles and find practical solutions in the health sector.

The workshop aimed to bounce around ideas, analyze existing problems, and draw up a comprehensive plan of action focused on practical recommendations to enhance the quality of healthcare services. Discussions zeroed in on key issues such as lack of facilities, procurement bottlenecks, poor coordination among health institutions, and the need to ramp up staff capacity.
