Deputy Minister for Health Services Meets Southern Provinces’ Public Health Officials Online

Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health, held an online meeting with public health officials from the southern provinces.

Public health officials from Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, and Uruzgan provinces joined the meeting online, while several central ministry directors and representatives of relevant departments attended in person. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between central and provincial health authorities, addressing key challenges and needs, and ensuring the effective and timely implementation of health programmes and activities at the provincial level.

Provincial officials also raised their challenges, needs, and recommendations with the central authorities. Ministry officials responded to their questions and recommendations and assured them that the issues and needs raised would be addressed promptly.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation between the central and provincial health authorities. He urged provincial officials to formally communicate their challenges and requests to the central authorities through the Provincial Health Coordination Directorate, so that they could be addressed in a timely manner and appropriate measures could be taken.
