12 Tons of Expired and Substandard Medicines and Food Products Disposed of in Takhar
Over the past three months, the Monitoring and Inspection Department of the Takhar Directorate of Public Health collected two tons of expired medicines and 10 tons of expired food products from various areas of the province through regular inspections. The expired items were subsequently disposed of in the presence of members of the relevant committee.
Takhar Director of Public Health, Mawlawi Sheikh Mir Saddam, said: We call on all health facility, pharmacy, and food outlet operators across the province to strictly refrain from the sale, distribution, and use of expired, substandard, and non-compliant medicines and food products, and to duly fulfill their responsibilities to safeguard public health.
