Ministry of Public Health Signs Healthcare Services Contract for Kunar Province
The Ministry of Public Health has signed a $55,024 contract with Handicap International to enhance and expand healthcare services for the people of Kunar Province.
The contract was signed for a period of six months to enhance the quality of healthcare services, expand access to care, and address the community’s health needs. Under the contract, 560 residents of Chawkay District and Nurgal District will directly benefit from essential healthcare services, while 2,800 individuals will benefit indirectly. The project will also generate employment opportunities for 10 people in the health sector.
Representatives of Handicap International also assured that the project would be implemented over the six-month period in accordance with all established standards, with a strong focus on meeting the healthcare needs of the community.
